Rye BrookRye Brook may be a small village in the town of Rye, but that doesn’t stop it from having plenty to offer in the areas of food, shopping and fun for everyone in the family! Moving out of Manhattan, I knew that I would want my family to settle in an area that offered lots of things to do, while still being conveniently close to NYC. With excellent schools and lots to do, it’s no wonder Rye Brook is the perfect place to raise a family!

Outside Fun

They don’t call Rye Brook “Tree City USA” for nothing! Beautiful greens and parks can be found all over the village (six to be exact!).

  • Crawford Park: With over 35 acres of gardens, Crawford Park is a wonderful place to bring the family for a day of fun in the sun. A walking path surrounds the park, which is very popular with dog walkers and joggers alike. It boasts a beautiful mansion donated by the Crawford Family in 1971 which holds “Music at the Mansion” events that you won’t want to miss! Also equipped with a playground and sensory pavilion, and baseball fields, it’s an ideal spot for the family to spend a full day!
  • Other parks to enjoy while in Rye Brook include: Pine Ridge Park, Garibaldi Park, Harkness Park (the best tennis courts), Rye Hills Park (don’t forget to check out its views of the Long-Island Sound), and Rye Brook-King Street Athletic Fields.
