Soccer Mom Hack: Bring the Snack!

Like most moms, you can find me riding around town in my minivan bouncing from field to field throughout the year. Whether it be football, lacrosse, or soccer my kids’ schedules keep us constantly on the go.

Being a mom of three active kids I’m always looking for new mom hacks. Especially since it seems that things are only getting harder as they get older. Currently, Spring soccer is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean things have slowed down. I am constantly checking the calendar to see who needs to be at practice, what time the next game is, and what snacks I’m signed up to bring.

And as experienced moms know, snacks are almost as important as the game! And we can’t forget those tiny spectators on the sidelines. Whether it’s a Saturday morning game or weekday practice, we are always racing out the door (and I can’t tell you how many times the water bottles were left on the kitchen counter). That’s why I love Post Cereals…a perfect hack for eating on the go!

My big boy loves Honey Bunches of Oats® because it’s the perfect combination of crispy, sweet flakes and crunchy clusters, and my twins fight over who gets the most Fruity Pebbles®. My kids (and myself) prefer cereal without milk so I always fill up storage bags with their fave for an on-the-go snack. When I’m really rushing I can just grab the whole box and enjoy!

However, if you can get it together the night before, Post Cereal has some amazing recipes for snacks that are guaranteed to wow your little soccer players!

Caramel Balls: Made with Honey Bunches of Oats®, caramel, and water, these sweet treats are the perfect reward for the winning team!

Banana Crunch Muffins: These delicious muffins are made with  Grape-Nuts® adding that special crunch.

Champion Chocolate Pretzels: Super easy to make with Fruity Pebbles® and will definitely make your soccer champ’s mouth water.

Fruity Pebbles Apple and Peanut Butter Stackers: To make this snack allergy friendly just swap out the peanut butter for some soy or sunflower butter.

Sunshine Snack Mix: Made with Waffle Crisp Cereal® and bacon pieces, you can really add whatever your player loves best.

Are you a busy mom on the go too? Well you’re in luck!

Limited edition Major League Soccer (MLS) cereal boxes can be found at grocery stores across the country. These boxes feature Topps® MLS player trading card cut-outs. My kids are super competitive and want to collect them all!
