What goes better than Independence Day and Fireworks Displays? Westchester County knows how to do the holiday right, with more than a dozen fireworks displays during the entire first week in July. So, grab a picnic blanket, your loved ones, and your American Flags and get ready to celebrate at one of these great fireworks shows.
Here’s where to go for the best firework displays in Westchester County!
July 2
Scarsdale, Scarsdale Pool Complex: 9:15 p.m. The Westchester Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. followed by the fireworks display at dark. $2.00 fee for non-pool members and anyone entering after 8:00 p.m.
July 3
Yonkers, Cross County Shopping Center: 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. There is a free summer concert starting at 7:30 p.m. and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. Parking and event are free but be careful, some road closures will occur to accommodate crowds and fireworks.
White Plains, White Plains High School: 6:00 p.m. This is a free event complete with inflatables, entertainment, concert, and food, followed by a fireworks display. Rain or shine.
Ossining, Louis Engel Waterfront Park: 7:00 p.m. Free entertainment followed by fireworks over the Hudson River at 9:30 p.m.
Valhalla, Kensico Dam Plaza: 7:30 p.m. Bring a blanket and a picnic to enjoy Music Fest followed by the fireworks display at dark.
Harrison, Harrison Shopping Center: 8:00 p.m. Start the night off with the sounds of the Tracie De Lucia band followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Rain date: July 6, 2018.
July 4
Peekskill, Riverfront Green Park: 7:00 p.m. A free concert followed by a fireworks display.
Sleepy Hollow, Kingsland Point Park and Barnhart Park: 8:30 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. start. Both parks will be great places to view this fireworks display.
Rye, Rye Playland: 9:15 p.m. A special edition of the Playland fireworks show will be presented. Fireworks can be seen every Friday night at Playland.
Mamaroneck, Harbor Island Park: 8:00 p.m. Live music starts at 8:00 p.m. followed by fireworks at dark. Paid parking is available. Enjoy the Firemen’s Carnival that evening as well!
Yonkers, Yonkers Historic Pier at 71 Water Grant Street: 7:00 p.m. Celebrate Independence Day at the Yonkers Waterfront with live music and food from area restaurants. Entertainment by a DJ starts at 7:00 p.m. followed by fireworks along the Hudson (presented by Pyro Engineering) at 9:15 p.m.
Katonah, Caramoor: 8:00 p.m. Pops, Patriots, and Fireworks concert at Caramoor. Rain date for fireworks only July 5th. Ticket prices vary.
New Rochelle, Waterfront: 9:30 p.m. New Rochelle’s annual Spark The Sound fireworks display. Rain or shine. Viewing locations include Hudson Park, Five Islands Park, and waterfront restaurants.
July 7
West Point, The West Point Ampitheater: 7:30 p.m. Free Independence Day celebration including a concert followed by a fireworks display. Rain date is scheduled for July 8th.
