It Feels Like Home: Meet Jessica

Westchester has always been my home, minus a brief stint in the Boston area for college and nearly a decade in Manhattan in my 20s. I grew up in Armonk and currently reside in Bedford Corners. Within minutes, I can be roaming the aisles in Target Mount Kisco or driving past bucolic horse farms.

For me, motherhood sometimes feels like “home” and sometimes feels like a foreign place where I don’t speak the language, and I’m completely lost. Thank goodness for Google, mom friends, my sister (mom of 4!), and my own mother, who all serve as my “GPS.”

I am fortunate to have 3 wonderful little ones – Talia (age 6), Wyatt (age 5) and Ethan (age 2), along with a supportive husband – David – and lots of loving grandparents and family members, many of whom also live in Westchester.

I have fond memories growing up in Northern Westchester, from winters ice skating at Rye Playland, to participating in sports like AYSO soccer, to taking my road test at 16 years old in White Plains. I vividly remember when they built the Westchester Mall and my summers working at local day camps. It’s surreal to watch my children experience the joys of the County, and I can’t believe how much more the area has to offer now.

After over 15 years in corporate communications and PR, I left my full-time job in June 2019 to become a communications consultant and stay-at-home mom. I am savoring the opportunity to be more present with my kids, but the physical and emotional demands of the job are no joke!

When I’m not playing dinosaurs with my boys and drawing with my daughter, you can find me visiting the local libraries, grocery shopping (my kids can eat!), or chauffeuring my clan to school and activities. In my (limited) spare time, I enjoy exercising (barre, yoga, spinning, running – you name it!), reading, and cooking healthy meals.
