0

Westchester County Moms Blog recently partnered with LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester and we’ve got lots to share about this amazing indoor play space!

LegolandHere are the top 5 things we LOVE about LEGOLAND® Discovery Center.

1. LEGOS®!

Who doesn’t love LEGOS®?! This touch-friendly space provides room after room of opportunities to touch and build with our favorite brick toys. You can build a race car and then run it down the test track, build an earthquake-proof building, or simply build your own creation. There are even special Master Builder Academy classes held a on weekends where you can explore and get creative! And if you haven’t had your fill by the time you leave, you can visit their LEGO® store on your way out where any kind of LEGOs® you could possibly think of are for sale.

Legoland2. Something for everyone and anyone.

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester is recommended for children ages 3 to 10. There are so many different attractions, two rides, a 4D Cinema Theater, and more. You’ll love watching and experiencing The LEGO® Movie 4D, a mini movie filled with action, adventure, and effects! Younger guests can play in the Duplo® Village, while other guests can sing Karaoke and play in the LEGO® Friends house. On Tuesday mornings, younger LEGO® enthusiasts (5 and under) can enjoy Little Playtimes with a discounted admission. Also, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester hosts Adult Night on the first Thursday of most months. See website for details.

3. Special events

Currently, there is a huge Ninjago attraction complete with a 2,300-square-foot interactive play area (larger than four average-sized NYC apartments!), where your little Ninjago can put their Ninja skills to the test — balance, agility, strength and endurance. The two-story play structure includes more than 20 interactive features — horizontal climbing wall, color crush reflex reaction game, obstacle course challenges inspired by kids’ favorite Ninjago characters and more. For younger visitors, Ninjago City Adventure is also equipped with a special Toddler Area that features a spin cup, toddler climber and drum panel.

Legoland4. It’s conveniently located.

It is located in the middle of the Ridge Hill Mall in Yonkers. Getting there is easy via I-87. Multiple parking garages surround the mall and there are some fantastic dining options nearby. Not to mention the shopping! You could easily make a day of your time at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester and the Ridge Hill Mall!

5. Timed entry.

Timed entry means you won’t have to wait in super long lines to enjoy the fun! It is so nice to be able to enter an attraction like LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester without your kids asking when you’ll be able to go in! The hours are Sunday to Thursday 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the last entry at 5:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the last entry at 7:00 p.m.
