Nothing feels more like summer than an outdoor festival and Cross County Shopping Center is bringing back Westchester’s favorite summer celebration, SUMMER FEST 2019! From outdoor concerts to food trucks, kid’s events and fireworks; the line-up of events includes something for everyone to enjoy. The 9th Annual Summer Fest series kicks off this June and will continue through Labor Day – the longest running series to date.
“More than ever before, we are welcoming summer with open arms and so much excitement,” said Liz Pollack, Senior Manager of Marketing for Cross County Shopping Center. “In 2019, we’re pleased to announce a new roster of music bands that range in genre from jazz to Top 40 to tribute bands, a new series of interactive programs for kids and a brand new amenity, a pop-up roller skating rink, which is sure to be fun for shoppers of all ages.”
Residents looking for fun, free summertime entertainment need to look no further than the 2019 Summer Fest series (plus, there’s always great shopping, dining and year-round FREE parking too!).
NEW Features Not to Miss:
NEW! ROLLER SKATING RINK, AUGUST 17 – SEPTEMBER 2, HOURS VARY
Following the success of the winter pop-up ice skating rink, Cross County Shopping Center will now feature a roller skating rink at Center Court. There will be theme nights, music and lots of skating fun. Guests must be 5 years or older to skate. Skates will be provided, or guests may bring their own. Admission is $10 per person (includes skates and a one-hour session). Hours vary. Credit/Debit cards only (no cash accepted).
NEW! FAMILY FEST
Families have one more reason to shop Cross County! Kids’ events will be held throughout the summer, including improv theatre with the Story Pirates on July 13, a science workshop with Groundwork Hudson Valley on July 24th and a musical instrument-making workshop and concert with Bash the Trash on August 20. Plus, the School of Rock House Band, from New Rochelle, will perform free concerts on June 18, July 16 and August 6. Details for each event will be listed on the center’s website and social media pages.

Shoppers are invited to bring their beach blankets and chairs to The Green Lawn at Center Court to enjoy different genres of music, June through August. In 2019, we are featuring 5 NEW bands! Plus, guests can enjoy tasty treats and savory snacks from local and regional food trucks at the concert events, all summer long.

FIREWORKS: TUESDAY, JULY 3, 6 P.M. – 10 P.M. CONCERT, FIREWORKS 9:30 P.M.
For our Independence Day celebration, the NYC Party Band will perform a concert from the main Summer Fest stage, followed by fireworks from the north parking lot. A portion of the north parking lot, from Zara to Boston Market, will be closed.
