Saturday, January 27, Yonkers: The Hudson River Museum offers a Family Studio Art program every Saturday for your little artists. January’s studio teaches art activities related to landscapes. Paint some colorful flowers and desperately wish for Spring.

Sunday, January 28, Tarrytown: The students of Random Farms are performing the Addams Family Musical. Introduce your little ones to Wednesday and Pugsley, and then realize your kids’ behavior could actually be worse.

Sunday, January 28, White Plains: At least once a year the Westchester County Center hosts a big toy and train show. My kids love it. They bring their piggy bank money, and often wind up buying something like a vintage Star Wars toy. It’s a fun way to spend the afternoon.

Friday, February 2, Yonkers: Groundhog Day is one of my family’s favorite movies. My kids have watched it over and over, and act it out. It’ll be on the big screen at Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers.

Saturday, February 10, Port Chester: The Rock and Roll Playhouse series at the Capitol Theatre is performing the music of Tom Petty for kids! Dance and sing with your kids! Debate over which song is his best! (The answer is American Girl).

Saturday, February 10, Purchase: Celebrate the Year of the Dog at the Chinese New Year Festival at Purchase Performing Arts Center! Hosted by the Westchester Association of Chinese Americans, there are acrobats, dance performances, and lots of great food!

Sunday, February 11, Hastings-on-Hudson: There aren’t enough kids concerts this winter, but the folks behind Hastings Flea are filling the void with their 60s kids concert featuring Joannas and Bananas. Also face painting and lots of treats!

Friday, February 17, White Plains: The Royal Hanneford Circus returns to the Westchester County Center! Performing three shows a day, Friday through Sunday. The last time we went, my kids wore costumes. Hoping to run away with the circus, I presume.
