The Really Big Show” featuring Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, doors at 6pm, show at 7, Capitol Theatre, Port Chester, NY

What to Expect: An Ed Sullivan style show and concert featuring Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Christina Bianco, Brandon “Taz” Nederauer of Broadway’s School of Rock, and more) to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Family Services of Westchester. Fall Harvest Race, registration begins at 7:30am, Hudson Street (in front of Storm King Firehouse), Cornwall on Hudson, NY

What to Expect: Choose from a 7.5k race, a 5k run/walk, and a kids’ race. Proceeds from the race will be donated to Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

Turkey Scavenger Hunt, 1:30pm, Greenburgh Nature Center, 99 Dromore Road, Scarsdale, NY

What to Expect: Toddlers will enjoy a “turkey token” scavenger hunt along a woodland trail. After, everyone will have snacks and make nature crafts. Cost is $9 for non members and $6 for members.

 

November 15

What to Expect: Take a guided, one hour tour of the beautifully decorated Boscobel mansion and grounds, and learn about 19th century holiday traditions. Tickets are $17 per adult. Friends of Boscobel and kids under 6 are free.

What to Expect: The Bedford Turkey Trot calls itself that hardest 5K in New York!

 

Green Craft Fair, 11am-3pm, Westmoreland Sanctuary, 260 Chestnut Ridge Road, Mt. Kisco

What to Expect: drop off the kids and they’ll make a natural gift, like candles, animal tracks, and fairy/bird houses. The cost is $25 per child ($20 for members)
