The Westchester Mom's Guide to MarchWelcome to Westchester Mom’s Guide to March.  We have rounded up a list of local events in Westchester to help you plan this month’s family fun!  There are lots of family-friendly performances at local theaters, as well as maple sugaring events, the WHUD Kids Fair, an open mic night for kids, Westchester Knicks basketball and lots more!

Check your local library for free family events!  Many libraries offer special weekend programs for library card holders.

In this 2 hour camp students will learn to create and share their own digital art with the Fresh Paint app for Windows 10.  Although free, please make sure to RSVP to this event if interested.

This program is a great introduction to wolves for families with young children.  Learn about the mythology surrounding wolves and the important role they play in nature.  Then visit with the Ambassador wolves.

This is a recurring Sunday event through .  Learn about the maple syrup making process from tapping to bottling.  Pre-registration for an hourly time-slot is required.

The LEGO Batman Movie Event 3

This is the third and final event in a three-month celebration of the LEGO Batman Movie. Participants can make a LEGO Batman speedwagon and collect the final two trading cards featuring characters from the movie (while supplies last).

Enjoy a one-hour ice show featuring performers from the Rye Figure Skating Club, Playland Skating School and more.  Refreshments will be available for purchase.  Attendees are asked to contribute an item for the food drive to benefit the Carver Center Food Pantry.

3rd Annual  Free NYSSMA Workshop for Violinists and Violists

Rachel Alexander Private String Studio is having its third annual NYSSMA Workshop Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1PM (2hours). All NYSSMA workshops are FREE and are available to all violin and viola students planning on participating in this music festival. In each class, students will perform their pieces and scales, as well as review helpful tips and tricks to make NYSSMA an enjoyable festival. Each workshop will be held in the Budarz Theater located on the bottom floor of the Ossining Public Library. This performance is presented by the Broadway Training Center Senior Ensemble.  This is the prequel to Peter Pan based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.
